Welding Supervisor

Job Description

Dolphin Heat Exchange is hiring a Welding Supervisor to lead automated orbital and manual welding crews fabricating pressure vessels and heat exchangers at our Abu Dhabi facility. You will enforce WPS/PQR compliance on every joint, coordinate with QA/QC on inspection hold points, and keep fabrication schedules on track for ASME-certified equipment delivered worldwide.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise welding crews across automated orbital and manual SMAW/GTAW processes
  • Enforce approved WPS and PQR on every production weld
  • Coordinate hold points and NDT scheduling with the QA/QC team
  • Review welder qualifications and maintain WPQ records
  • Troubleshoot weld defects and lead root-cause corrective actions
  • Report daily progress against the fabrication schedule to the project manager

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or trade certification in welding technology or mechanical engineering
  • 5+ years of welding supervision experience in pressure vessel or heat exchanger fabrication
  • Working knowledge of ASME Section IX welding qualifications
  • Experience with orbital welding equipment is an advantage
  • CSWIP or equivalent welding inspection certification preferred
  • Available for shift work at the Mussafah facility
