Process Engineer

Job Description

Dolphin Heat Exchange is hiring a Process Engineer to design and thermally rate shell & tube and air-cooled heat exchangers for oil & gas, petrochemical and power clients worldwide. You will work from our Abu Dhabi facility using HTRI and PV Elite to produce ASME Section VIII and TEMA-compliant designs, from proposal stage through as-built documentation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform thermal design and rating of shell & tube, air-cooled and plate heat exchangers using HTRI Xchanger Suite
  • Prepare mechanical design calculations in PV Elite in line with ASME Section VIII Division 1
  • Select TEMA type, tube layout and materials based on process duty, fouling factor and fluid properties
  • Review client process data sheets and issue technical queries during the proposal stage
  • Support fabrication drawings and liaise with the workshop on constructability
  • Prepare datasheets and technical bid packages for ADNOC and other operator tenders

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in heat exchanger thermal design
  • Working knowledge of HTRI, PV Elite or equivalent design software
  • Familiarity with ASME Section VIII, TEMA and API 660/661 standards
  • Strong written English for technical documentation and client correspondence
  • UAE-based or willing to relocate to Abu Dhabi
