Process Engineer
Design and rate shell & tube and air-cooled heat exchangers using HTRI, ensuring every unit meets ASME and TEMA requirements.
View RoleDolphin Heat Exchange is hiring a Design Engineer to produce mechanical design calculations and fabrication drawings for pressure vessels and heat exchangers using PV Elite and ANSYS. Based at our Abu Dhabi facility, you will turn thermal design output into ASME-compliant mechanical designs ready for fabrication.
Most day-to-day design calculations use PV Elite; ANSYS is used selectively for non-standard components, nozzle loads and FEA verification.
Division 1 experience is the baseline requirement; Division 2 familiarity is a plus for higher-pressure vessel designs.
Yes — mechanical design closely follows thermal rating output, so close coordination with process engineers is a core part of the role.
AutoCAD is the primary drawing platform, with SolidWorks used for selected 3D modeling needs.
It suits engineers with at least 2 years of hands-on PV Elite design experience — not an entry-level graduate position.
Yes, you will help maintain design calculation packages ready for client and third-party inspection agency review.
Primarily ASME Section VIII Division 1, with Division 2 applied for higher-pressure or thinner-wall designs where applicable.
